Description:

Is an eye condition in which the pressure in the eye rises and causes damage to the optic nerve. There are four types of glaucoma:

  • Chronic- slow onset there is no pain but the eyesight becomes damaged over time.

  • Acute- this is of sudden onset and can be painful, permanent damage will be done to your eyesight if not treated quickly.

  • Secondary- this happens after you have suffered a different eye problem the result of the first has caused the second.

  • Congenital – This is something which is present from birth and is where the eye has not developed properly.
