Epididymitis
The epididymis is a small tube which is on the top and the back of both testicles; it is where sperm collects and is stored. With Epididymitis this becomes inflamed through an infection which has backtracked along the urethra (the tube in the penis which urine and sperm travel down) it can be due to an STI (Sexually transmitted infection) like Chlamydia or Gonorrhoea or a urinary tract infection. The symptoms can include a swollen sensitive testicle with a feeling of heaviness; low stomach pains with pain on passing urine and a discharge may also occur. |
